Frequently Asked Questions
What is the purpose of the booster club?
The booster club purpose is to raise funds, organize volunteers, coordinate logistics of team events and help coaches. The booster club also helps pay things school funding does not cover.
What does the booster club pay for?
The booster club pays for any expense for the program that the school funding does not cover. Most years school funding is quite small. These things include uniforms, tournament entry fees, field maintenance and improvements and end of season banquets.
Is the booster club a non-profit?
Yes! Our booster club is a 501(c)(3) organization. We file appropriate tax returns to maintain this status each year. We are also registered with the Colorado Secretary of State.
What is the relationship between the booster club and the coach?
The booster club is committed to supporting the coach’s vision by helping fund the enhancements that keep our field in top condition and ensure the girls look their best. Boosters have no authority over coaches, they work directly for the school district. Boosters do not decide on teams or playing time.
How are financial decisions made?
Decisions are generally made by the board of directors. Input from the head coach and/or athletic director often dictate what items are taken to the board for approval.
How can I stay informed?
Boosters will hold meetings thought the summer during open field and several during the season, all are welcome to attend these meetings. We are happy to share any information with our parents, including budget, what we plan to do for the season etc.
